White tuna in olive oil - 400g

The fish is caught in the Bay of Biscay using traditional fishing methods by boats that respect marine reserves through sustainable fisheries management.

After carefully selecting the freshest tuna, cutting and selecting the belly, the fillets are prepared by expert hands who, for generations, have been working on the preparation of these preserves. They are then sliced "with a knife" and immersed in olive oil.

Yurrita Cannery is a family business founded in 1867. In its early days, it produced and sold marinated and salted fish distributed from Mutriku to the rest of Spain. The original cannery began its work in the basement of the Yurrita family home, it was known as Casa Mauleón. Among all the current Spanish canneries, it is probably the oldest building dedicated to fish canning.
