The black elder, also known as Judas tree, is a shrub 3 to 5 meters high that grows in temperate zones such as Europe, West Asia, and certain regions of Africa. In late spring, the elder adorns itself with small, creamy white flowers with a characteristic intoxicating scent. Used since antiquity for its therapeutic virtues, elder is widely recognized as a medicinal plant and is still widely used around the world today. All parts of the elder have a distinct use: from the berry to the bark, including the flower.

- Appearance: Its golden yellow color with soft green reflections is reminiscent of the original shrub.
- Nose: Powerful and exotic, it invites you to travel with its notes of lychee and spices (saffron, licorice).
- Palate: On the palate, floral notes are enhanced by a hint of acidity. A festival of flowers explodes in the mouth: rose, hawthorn, fresh and dried flowers intertwine.
