Black Beans - 1Kg

Coco-type black beans, known botanically as Phaseolus vulgaris, appear as small, slightly rounded black grains with a white hilum. Their flavor is typical of a quality product. Before you start cooking, remember to soak them in cold water for 12 hours, then rinse before cooking. Black beans can be eaten whole or as a purée after removing the skins. For an average serving of 80g per person, allow 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours for traditional cooking and 35 minutes with a pressure cooker.
