Frozen broad beans are prepared from varieties of Vicia faba L partim, white-flowered varieties. Their colour is uniform, a pale green for the skin and a deep green for the cotyledon. Extra fine broad beans have a very characteristic flavour with a slightly bitter almond taste. Very quick to reheat, in 6 minutes in the microwave or a steam oven for example, you can finish preparing your broad bean, bacon and thyme stew or your delicious roasted monkfish medallions in a parmesan and parsley crust accompanied bygreen vegetables.
