Côte-Rotie Belle Hélène 2019 -75cl

Pure perfection, the 2019 Côte-Rôtie La Belle Hélène comes from the "Côte-Rôzier" lieu-dit, destemmed and aged partly in demi-muids and partly in Burgundy barrels, already used once or twice. In comparison to the Lancement cuvée, which is more aromatic and refined, La Belle Hélène is more powerful with aromas of blackcurrant, black raspberry, smoked meat, iron, graphite, and chocolate. The vintage style reminds us of 2010 (or a blend of 2009 and 2010), it is full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with developing tannins and an incredible mid-palate. This is a mythical and brilliant Côte-Rôtie that will evolve for three decades. It deserves at least 7-8 years of bottle aging.
